CUET 2026 Preparation Strategy: A Smart Guide for BBA & B.Com Aspirants
CUET 2026 is the centralised entrance test for undergraduate courses in colleges and universities, including IITs, NITs, and other institutions across the central and state government, as well as national institutes and nearly all of the top private universities. For students planning to pursue BBA and B.Com courses after Class 12, CUET has emerged as the most significant criterion for college selection. Knowing the pattern of the exam and having a proper preparation strategy can prove to be beneficial in your score.
CUET UG comprises of three sections – the Language Test, Domain Subjects and the General Aptitude Test (GAT). The language portion assesses reading comprehension, vocabulary and grammar. Domain Subject: They are rooted in the broader curriculum for Class 12 subjects of NCERT, which itself becomes necessary as commerce students have to face question from these subjects such as Accountancy, Business Studies or Economics. The General Aptitude Test includes the following question types: quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, general knowledge and current affairs. Each paper is an objective-type paper with negative marking hence, the accuracy determines the count by success.
To prepare well for CUET 2026, all you have to do is determine the required subjects in your desired BBA or B.Com colleges. English and relevant commerce stream-based subjects are accepted in most universities; however, some also take the General Aptitude Test. When you are done with the above 4 steps, concentrate on NCERT (most of questions will be asked directly & indirectly).
Formulate an effective daily study plan which incorporates concept learning, practising questions and periodic revision. It is important for candidates to go through mock tests as well as last year’s question papers to get a sense of what level of question they can expect and manage their time accordingly.
