How Are Colleges in Delhi Helping Students Balance Mental Health and Career Pressure?
College life of BBA, MBA, and B.Com students goes along with the learning, deadlines, internships, and career expectations. It is so overwhelming that these students often get stressed, worried, or confused about their future. To help them cope with the pressure of mental health and career, a number of Delhi colleges, such as RDIAS, have taken the initiative to facilitate their support.
On-campus counselling centres are being established where students of all three courses can share their experiences of stress, anxiety, and academic challenges without hesitation. There are professional counsellors to lead them and teach them how to manage the pressure in a positive and safe manner. Such a support network enables students to feel that their voices are acknowledged and that they are really understood.
Apart from this, regularly organised workshops on stress management, time management, and emotional well-being are available. These meetings help the students acquire the simplest ways to keep themselves calm and to improve their concentration. In addition to that, career counselling, mock interviews, resume-building sessions, and mentorship programs are done to ensure students get more confidence and clarity regarding their future goals. When they are less in doubt about their career, it becomes easier for them to cope with mental pressure.
Colleges have also started what are called sports, cultural activities, and clubs. The colleges in Delhi are giving importance to extracurricular activities nowadays to make students fluent in all academics and their interests in other activities, which gives students full freedom to unwind their minds. This gives students of courses like BBA, MBA & BCOM a break from the serious loop studies stress and pressure.
